Early Head Start (EHS)

Target Audience: Low-income pregnant women, infants, and toddlers under the age of 3 (along with their families).

Core Services: Intensive, comprehensive child development and family support services.

Arkansas Reach: Serves 2,322 children and families.

Early Head Start–Child Care Partnerships (EHS-CCP)

Purpose: Expands access to high-quality, full-day, year-round child care—including family child care homes—for low-income working families.

Core Services: Strengthens early learning settings through relationship-based care for infants and toddlers, while helping children smoothly transition into Head Start and preschool.

Arkansas Reach: Serves 352 children and families.

Head Start

Target Audience: Children ages 3 to 5 and their families.

Core Services: Promotes early learning, development, health, and family well-being. Staff actively engage parents as vital partners in supporting strong child outcomes.

Mission: Provide eligible children and families with high-quality services in safe, healthy environments that prepare children for school and life.

Arkansas Reach: Serves 3,428 children and families.

Migrant and Seasonal Head Start

Definitions:
- Migrant Farmworker Programs: Serve families engaged in agricultural labor who have moved to a new geographic location within the preceding two years.
- Seasonal Farmworker Programs: Serve families engaged primarily in seasonal agricultural labor who have not changed their geographic location within the preceding two years.

Arkansas Reach: Serves 101 children and families.

Services are available at no cost to children and eligible families. Programs deliver child development services in center-based, home-based, or family child care settings.
